Last night, about midnight, I turned on the TV before bed (as I do from time to time). I was half-watching the commercials, half-checking my BlackBerry, when this faux pas atrocity came on. It’s an old commercial for The Original Mattress Factory, which begins with an earthquake in a neighborhood set to a jaunty little tune. (The “best” part is when the couple, after experiencing the shakes, gives each other a warm smile.) Um, not cool OMF. With the horrible devastation in Haiti, someone really should pull this thing off the air…like, right now. Seriously, go!
